BREAKING: Wike Sacks FCT Revenue Chief 

While no official reason has been provided for the sudden dismissal.

Abuja, Nigeria– The Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike, has dismissed the Acting Executive Chairman of the FCT Internal Revenue Service (FCT-IRS), Mr. Michael Ango.

The announcement came late Friday in a statement issued by the minister’s Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka.

According to the statement, Ango’s removal takes immediate effect, with Wike directing the most senior official within the service to “immediately assume leadership and ensure uninterrupted operations.”

“The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has sacked the Acting Executive Chairman of the Federal Capital Territory Internal Revenue Service, Mr. Michael Ango,” Olayinka said.

He added that “the most senior official of the FCT-IRS has been directed to take over the running of the revenue agency with immediate effect.”

While no official reason has been provided for the sudden dismissal.
