BREAKING: Terrorists Attack PMF Camp In Kwara Community, Kill Three Officers, Injure Two
According to preliminary information, the attackers stormed the PMF camp unexpectedly, overwhelming the officers on duty before carrying out the deadly operation.
Ilorin, Kwara State– Suspected terrorists have attacked a Police Mobile Force (PMF) camp in Tenebo community, Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State, killing at least three officers and leaving two others injured.
Sources told Afrika Eyes that the deadly assault occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning, throwing the community into panic as gunfire reportedly echoed across the area.
According to preliminary information, the attackers stormed the PMF camp unexpectedly, overwhelming the officers on duty before carrying out the deadly operation.
Confirming the incident, the Kwara State Police Public Relations Officer, Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, acknowledged that the attack took place but said full details were still being compiled.
“I regret to confirm that an attack on the PMF Camp occurred in the early hours of today. I will provide more accurate and detailed information shortly. Thank you,” she said.
Meanwhile, the attack is one of the latest in parts of Kwara North, where residents have repeatedly raised alarms over the increasing activities of armed groups.
