BREAKING: Police Rescue Adelabu’s Sister, Twin Sons
Mrs. John-Paul and her twin sons were abducted at about 7:30 a.m. on June 3, 2026, while travelling to drop the children off at school.
Ibadan, Oyo State- Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force have rescued Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul and her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul, days after they were abducted by suspected kidnappers in Oyo State.
The victims, including the younger sister of former Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, were rescued on Saturday night during a police operation.
Confirming the development to Afrika Eyes on Saturday evening, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ayanlade Olayinka, said the victims had regained their freedom and that the command would issue an official statement shortly.
“They were rescued tonight, and we will issue a press release shortly,” Olayinka said.
Meanwhile, two suspected kidnappers were neutralised during a fierce gun battle with police operatives, while two firearms were recovered from the criminal gang.
