BREAKING: MC Oluomo Elected National President Of NURTW

Osogbo, Osun State- Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, has been officially elected as the national president of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW).

The election, held during the Quadrennial Delegate Conference at the Zonal Secretariat in Osogbo, Osun State, saw delegates from Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, and Ekiti states participate.

The conference was monitored by Aliyu Issa-Ore, the acting National President of the union, who emphasized that the union’s constitution stipulates that the zone, when its turn comes, must produce the president and present the elected candidate to the National Secretariat.

Represented by Mrs. Adedamola Salam, Head of Finance at the National Headquarters in Abuja, it was confirmed that the Southwest zone had fully adhered to the constitution in electing Oluomo as the President.

Delegates also elected Tajudeen Agbede as Vice President for the Southwest and Akeem Adeosun as a trustee from the zone.

After taking the oath of office, Oluomo called for peace and unity within the union. “I have forgiven all those who wronged me, and I ask for forgiveness from those I have wronged,” he said.

“This is our union, and we must remain committed to its preservation. We will not allow anyone to undermine our livelihood,” he added.
