Abuja, NigeriaChief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) Justice Olukayode Ariwoola has summoned the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court and the Chief Judge of Kano State High Court.

The urgent meeting aims to address the conflicting injunctions that have recently been issued in relation to the ongoing Kano Emirate crisis.

The summons comes in the wake of a legal deadlock that has further complicated the already tense situation surrounding the leadership and governance of the Kano Emirate.

Justice S. A. Amobeda of the Federal High Court in Kano ordered the eviction of the reinstated Emir, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi II, from the Gidan Rumfa Palace on Tuesday.

However, Justice Amina Adamu Aliyu of Kano State High Court issued a separate order, restraining the police, the State Security Services (SSS) and the Nigerian Army from evicting, harassing or arresting Sanusi.
