BREAKING: Bandits Abduct Businessman In Midnight Attack On Kwara Community

Afrika Eyes gathered that the incident occurred around midnight when heavily armed gunmen invaded the community, firing sporadically into the air to instill fear and disperse residents.

Ilorin,  Kwara State– Armed bandits struck again in Tsaragi community of Edu Local Government Area, Kwara State, abducting a businessman identified as Suleiman Ndana, popularly known as “Manager,” around midnight on Saturday.

Afrika Eyes gathered that the incident occurred around midnight when heavily armed gunmen invaded the community, firing sporadically into the air to instill fear and disperse residents.

Witnesses say the attackers appeared to have carefully planned the operation, heading straight for Mr. Ndana’s residence before whisking him away to an unknown destination.

A source within the community told Afrika Eyes that the businessman was specifically targeted by the abductors.

According to the source, Ndana recently built a new fuel station in Yana Kokonna, Tsaragi, which may have drawn the attention of criminal elements.

“I can tell you that the attack happened around 12 a.m. The gunmen came in large numbers, shooting into the air, and went directly for Manager. Their target was clearly him. They took him away, and since then, there has been no word on his whereabouts,” the source revealed.

The abduction has created fear and tension in Tsaragi and neighboring villages, as residents worry about the growing boldness of armed groups operating within Kwara’s rural communities.

This latest attack adds to the rising spate of kidnappings in Kwara North amd South, where business owners, farmers, and even traditional rulers have increasingly become targets for ransom-seeking criminals.

Afrika Eyes had reported that gunmen suspected to be bandits have attacked Kpankparagi community in Edu Local Government Area, Kwara State, abducting a woman in a midnight raid.

A communuty source told Afrika Eyes that the assailants stormed the village in the early hours of Wednesday, shooting sporadically to create panic before whisking the victim away.

“They came in the middle of the night and started shooting sporadically. They then abducted a woman and left. We do not know if anyone else was taken, but I can confirm that a woman was abducted last night.”
