Boy Found At Point Of Sale In Delta, Woman Arrested For Alleged Kidnapping Plot

Asaba, Delta State- A young boy, whose identity has been withheld, was rescued in Agbor, Delta State, after being kidnapped while running an errand for his parents.

The boy, believed to be from the South-West of Nigeria, was found in the company of a woman allegedly attempting to sell him at Owanta Aliosimi.

The Delta State Police Command confirmed the boy’s safe recovery, with the suspect now in custody.

Police spokesperson SP Bright Edafe urged anyone with information on the boy’s identity or his parents’ whereabouts to come forward as efforts to reunite the child with his family continue.

“We are committed to ensuring this child returns safely to his family.

Edafe also mentioned that the boy’s family remains unidentified, as he has been unable to provide enough information to help authorities trace them.

He noted that efforts are underway to reach out to communities in South-West in an attempt to locate the boy’s relatives.
