Bandits Strike Again In Kaduna Community, Abduct Married Woman, Infant; Three Residents Shot
The assailants stormed the community around 2am on Wednesday, shooting sporadically and targeting homes.
Kaduna, State– Bandits have abducted scores of residents, including a married woman and her months-old baby, and shot three others during a midnight raid on Gidan Tama community in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Afrika Eyes gathered that the assailants stormed the community around 2am on Wednesday, shooting sporadically and targeting homes.
According to a security alert by Bakatsine, the attackers shot and injured three residents while abducting several others.
“Last night around 2AM, bandits attacked Gidan Tama community in Kachia LGA of Kaduna State,” the alert read.
“Three residents were shot and injured, while several others were abducted including a married woman and her months old infant child.”
However, the latest assault marks the second attack on the community within 10 days, heightening fears among residents who say they have been left at the mercy of armed groups.
Community members in Southern Kaduna lamented the worsening security situation, stating that they now live in constant fear of further attacks as nightfall approaches.
As of the time of filing this report, security agencies were yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
