Bandits Attack Buhari’s Home State, Kill 5 Policemen, 4 Others
The policemen who were on special duty from Kano State, were killed on Wednesday.
Bandits have killed five policemen and three civilians in Gatakawa of Kankara Local Government Area in Katsina State.
It was gathered that the policemen who were on special duty from Kano State, were killed on Wednesday.
The Police command spokesman Gambo Isah, confirmed the incident to newsmen in Katsina on Friday.
He said, “The terrorists were well over 300 and fully armed. The five policemen were from Kano state and were on special duty at Gatikawa”
”The terrorists attacked them at 6.45 pm and also killed three civilians. The investigation is already in progress on the matter.”
Local sources said the gunmen stormed the village “on motorcycles and went from one house to the other and carted away valuables including money and food items. Many villagers suffered multiple injuries when they attempted to escape from the terrorists”.
However, he added that the investigation was still ongoing.
