Ilorin,  Kwara State– Suspected terrorists believed to be armed bandits have struck again in Kwara State, kidnapping two brothers on their farmland in Bokungi Zambufu, Edu Local Government Area.

The attack, which occurred on Wednesday, has thrown the agrarian community into panic.

According to eyewitness accounts, the heavily armed assailants stormed the farmland while the victims were working and opened fire indiscriminately, forcing residents nearby to flee for safety.

The gunmen then seized the brothers and whisked them into the surrounding forest.

This latest abduction comes just days after a bloody raid by another group of terrorists in Oke-Ode, Ifelodun Local Government Area, Kwara South, where at least 12 local vigilantes and forest guards lost their lives while confronting the attackers.

Afrika Eyes had reported that armed bandits struck again in Tsaragi community of Edu Local Government Area, Kwara State, abducting a businessman identified as Suleiman Ndana, popularly known as “Manager,” around midnight on Saturday.

Afrika Eyes gathered that the incident occurred around midnight when heavily armed gunmen invaded the community, firing sporadically into the air to instill fear and disperse residents.

Witnesses say the attackers appeared to have carefully planned the operation, heading straight for Mr. Ndana’s residence before whisking him away to an unknown destination.

A source within the community told Afrika Eyes that the businessman was specifically targeted by the abductors.

According to the source, Ndana recently built a new fuel station in Yana Kokonna, Tsaragi, which may have drawn the attention of criminal elements.

“I can tell you that the attack happened around 12 a.m. The gunmen came in large numbers, shooting into the air, and went directly for Manager. Their target was clearly him. They took him away, and since then, there has been no word on his whereabouts,” the source revealed
