Bandits Abduct Islamic Scholar, Students In Zaria

Kaduna State- Sheikh Isma’eel Gausi, a prominent Islamic scholar, and several of his students were kidnapped from his residence in Zaria, Kaduna State, on Wednesday night.

The abduction is believed to have been carried out by gunmen suspected to be bandits.

Witnesses reported that bandits raided his residence, firing their guns indiscriminately before abducting the victims and fleeing to an unknown location.

“The sound of gunfire was terrifying,” a local resident recounted. “We witnessed the bandits forcibly taking the Sheikh and his students away.”

Family members are now in a state of distress, urgently appealing for action from security forces.

“We are extremely concerned and urge the authorities to secure the safe return of our loved ones,” a family member stated.
