Bandit Arrested While Seeking Treatment For Gunshot Wound In Plateau Hospital

Jos, Plateau State- Operatives of the Plateau state police command have arrested one of the bandits who attacked the Zurack Community in the Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State while treating his gunshot wounds in a hospital.

It gathered that other bandits who fled during the operation attacked Zurak and Dakai villages, killed nine persons and burnt down six houses while on the run.

In a statement released, the spokesman for the Plateau State Police Command, Alabo Alfred, the arrested bandits had been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for discreet investigation.

“Following the aggressive onslaught against bandits by a combined team of DSS and other security operatives in Bangalala Forest of Wase LGA of Plateau State, a border between Plateau, Bauchi and Taraba State respectfully, seven bandits have been neutralised in the area.

“The command is also pleased to announce to the state government and the people of Plateau State that one of the bandits who escaped and went to seek treatment at a hospital in Wase was arrested with gunshot wounds. The suspect has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Jos, for discreet investigation,”the statement read.

The image maker said the state commissioner of Police has assured that the police would not rest until the perpetrators of this evil act were arrested and brought to book.
