Amotekun Corps Nabs Suspected kidnapper As Victim Identifies Suspect
The Amotekun State Commandant, Brig. Gen. Joe Komolafe (retd), said the suspect was arrested in the bush and could not explain his mission there.
Operatives of the Ekiti State Security Network Agency, otherwise known as Amotekun have arrested a 30-year-old suspected kidnapper, Abdurahman Ibrahim, at Ijesa Isu, in the Ikole council area of the state.
The Amotekun State Commandant, Brig. Gen. Joe Komolafe (retd), said the suspect was arrested in the bush and could not explain his mission there.

“We found local protective charms against gunshots on him. He lied that he was a cattle rearer looking for the person he reared cows for,” Komolafe added.
The Amotekun boss said the suspect would be handed over to the police for further investigation and prosecution.
A kidnap victim, Idowu Ajayi, 40, identified the suspect as one of the six gunmen who seized him and one occupant of his car in March 2022.

He said, “I can recognise the suspect as one of the six-member gang that kidnapped me along Ijesa Isu Road on March 14. They made me pay N2.5m before they released me and the lady kidnapped with me that day.
“Apart from the money, the kidnappers collected a pack of gin, a pack of cigarettes and noodles before they released us. They had four AK-47 guns, five cutlasses and they really tortured us.”
