The Asoju Odo said he can not seat on the fence and watch the majority of his constituents suffer in an unpleasant situation while having the ideas and ability to change the lives of his people.
A frontline House of Reps Aspirant under the Young Professionals Program (YPP), for Irepodun/Isi/Ekiti/Oke-Ero federal constituency, Charles Olufemi Folayan, has expressed his readiness to rescue the generation and save the future.
Mr Folayan made this known while delivering his speech at the children’s day celebration hosted at Obbo Ile in Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The Asoju Odo said he can not seat on the fence and watch the majority of his constituents suffer in an unpleasant situation while having the ideas and ability to change the lives of his people.
In his statement “Dear younger brothers and sisters, I’m here to celebrate you, as today is set aside for celebration. Though you are not supposed to be in this kind of situation, you all deserved a better life and the future is now.
“Recently, I toured communities from Ekan meje to Iloffa, Omu-Aran to Rore, Arandun to Omido, Oro to Esie, Odo-Owa to Idofin, Osi to Obbo, Oke-Onigbin to Oke-Aba, Osi to Obbo Ile, Oke- Opin to Etan and all. Sadly, the situation has not changed, even after 20 years of steady democratic governance.
According to him “In 2019, we mobilized the youth across local governments for the Otoge struggle without collecting a dime from any aspirant, we sacrificed our time and resources, believing that our elected officials would make a difference but here we are again, they are not different from the people we sacked. They can’t even guarantee our safety in our various communities.
