Oyelola Oyewale Elected Public Relations Officer Of ASUP, Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti
Oyewale secured 194 votes, defeating Mr. Adelana of the Urban and Regional Planning Department.
Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State– Oyelola Oyewale, a lecturer in the Department of Mass Communication, has emerged as the new Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) at the Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti.
In the election held on Tuesday at the institution’s conference hall, Oyewale secured 194 votes, defeating Mr. Adelana of the Urban and Regional Planning Department.
In his manifesto, Oyewale pledged to launch the ASUP-FPA Quarterly Bulletin and ensure that the chapter’s activities receive the media attention they deserve.
A seasoned media professional, Oyewale currently serves as Vice President (Administration and Communications) of the Nigerian Guild of Investigative Journalists (NGIJ) and as Secretary of the Association of Kwara Online Media Practitioners (ASKOMP).
He holds a Master’s degree in Mass Communication and a Postgraduate Diploma in International Relations and Strategic Studies.
Since joining Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti in 2019, Oyewale has accumulated over 16 years of post-graduation experience in the field.
