Asake’s Family Demands ₦50M House For Ailing Father, Accuses Singer Of Abandoning Alleged Daughter

Ikeja, Lagos State – The family of popular Nigerian singer Asake has publicly urged him to buy a house worth N40 million or N50 million for his father, Fatai Odunsi, following allegations of abandonment.

According to Odunsi, he has not seen Asake since 2022, a period during which his health reportedly deteriorated, prompting him to seek help publicly.
The situation escalated on Saturday when a female representative of the family—believed to be Asake’s paternal aunt—made fresh demands in a viral video.
She insisted that purchasing a house for his father was the least Asake could do, arguing that his contribution would mean more than any external financial aid.
“I’m begging you, Asake; you’ll grow old one day, so please take care of your father. Even if Nigerians contributed N10 billion to Mr. Odunsi, Asake’s N1 million would make him happier. In Isale Eko, you can find a house worth N40 million or N50 million. If you don’t want to take care of him directly, at least buy him a house so he can survive on the rent,” she said.
The family also claimed that Asake had abandoned an alleged 11-year-old daughter, Zeenat, whom his father had been caring for. They urged the singer to take full responsibility for her upbringing.
“This is the woman who gave birth to his 11-year-old daughter, Zeenat, whom his father has been caring for. Zeenat’s mother is here, and since you’re doubting her paternity, she is ready for a DNA test to confirm the truth,” the family stated.
