Joseph S. Bamigboye, A Senior Advocate Of Nigeria SAN, says Kwara State is under siege of disinformation and fake news that can bring the state on her knees if not checked.
Mr Bamigboye accused the Chief Press Secretary CPS to the Kwara State Governor, Mallam Rafiu Ajakaye, of peddling fake news to the public without bothering about the consequences.

According to him, “the statement issued by Ajakaye says the National Industrial Court of Nigeria, NICN sitting in Akure, Ondo State has vacated an Order of Interim injunction restraining his Principal; the Governor AbdulRazaq from removing the Auditor General of Kwara State from office pending the determination of his Motion on Notice before the court.
The Senior Advocate said that the statement by Ajakaye has gone viral in the public domain and certain sections of the media, to say the least, is pre-judicial and done in a manner not responsible enough of the office of the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Kwara State.

He further explained that the Chief Press Secretary has substantially compromised the integrity of the honourable court and maligned the character of the Auditor General of the State and his team of lawyers in a case already before the court.
He, however, urges members of the public to discountenance this fake news evidently done in a very bad taste. And assure that appropriate legal redress will be taken against this defamatory press release.
