Bandits Block Gusau-Funtua Road, Abduct Passengers From Multiple Vehicles

Gusau, Zamfara State- Bandits have reportedly kidnapped all the passengers from three vehicles traveling on the Gusau-Funtua road near Margazu village in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
It was gathered that the gunmen also blocked the road near Unguwan Chida and neighboring communities, abducting passengers from five vehicles in total.
An eyewitness revealed that the bandits, some of whom were killed during the attack, have been disrupting traffic on the road since the onset of heavy rains in the area.
On Tuesday, the witness noted that the bandits had been launching daily attacks on commuters, abducting them and taking them into the forest.
The spokesperson for the Zamfara Police Command, Yazid Abubakar, confirmed the incident, stating that soldiers have been deployed to the area to drive out the bandits.
