Darul Kitab Wasunna Graduates Over 600 Students In Kwara

Their alma mater stands as a beacon of enlightenment, inspiring future generations to embrace the transformative power

Ilorin, Kwara StateDarul Kitab Wasunna College of Arabic and Islamic Studies bid farewell to no fewer than 600 graduates, marking a significant milestone in their educational journey.

The Director of the school, Sheikh Dr. AbdulKadir Oba-Solagberu, announced this in Ilorin, Kwara State, on Sunday when he addressed guests at the 24th graduation ceremony.

He said 600 students successfully completed their junior and secondary school education.

He explained that as the graduates embark on new chapters in their lives, they carry with them the values instilled by Darul Kitab Wasunna College: integrity, humility, and a lifelong pursuit of knowledge.

According to him, their alma mater stands as a beacon of enlightenment, inspiring future generations to embrace the transformative power of education.

Oba-Solagberu, urged the graduating students to be good ambassadors of the school and Islam in general and advised the bachelor among them to be circumspect in choosing life partners said women can make or mar them.

He also charged the Islamic school proprietors to always encourage their students to have handiwork saying this would help them to have a decent livelihood that makes sense for them to live an exemplary life as an Alfa.

“To my fellow Islamic scholars, Dawah should not prevent us from having a decent business or work, this would further aid our Dawah activities and prevent us from depending on politicians and those into illegal activities that can soil our names,” he advised

He congratulated the graduating students and urged them to imbibe the teachings of the Holy Quran in their daily activities.

In his speech, the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU), Alhaji Abdulmumini Ayo Abdulmalik encouraged the students to emulate the teachings of their founder so that they can project and spread Islamic knowledge worldwide.

He prays to Allah to bless the graduates and guide them along the straight path as they embark on another journey in life.

He said it was not easy for him to get this far. He mentioned that he had some challenges while in school, but with determination and consistent effort, Allah made it easy for him to come out with flying colors.

He explained that as a science student, the experience he had gathered in Islamic studies would also enhance his learning in Western studies, making him unique among his colleagues.

He urges the junior students to marry their books and focus more on their studies rather than wasting time on social media, which doesn’t make a meaningful impact in their lives.

Another female graduate, who also emerged as the best student, Zainab Olayinka, expressed her excitement and thanked Allah for making it a great day.

She stated that the knowledge she had gathered is something that money cannot buy, and its value is paramount. She said the reward covers here and hereafter.
