We will remain unbowed, and everyone involved in any dastardly acts of abduction or any other violent crimes
Ilorin, Kwara State– Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, on Monday joined fellow patriots, veterans, security commanders, and community leaders in laying wreaths to honour the fallen heroes and heroines at the 2024 Armed Forces Remembrance Day in Ilorin.
Governor AbdulRazaq expressed gratitude for the immense sacrifices of those who lost their lives in various wars and internal security operations, defending the nation’s territorial integrity, unity, and peace.
“I commend all our security agencies for the yeoman’s job that they do,” stated Governor AbdulRazaq. “As a government, we continue to work closely with them to ensure the safety of lives and properties.”
The governor assured the families and friends affected by the actions of non-state actors of continuous support and empathy.
According to the governor, “To the families and friends of our compatriots who are affected by the nefarious activities of some mindless non-state actors, we assure you of our continuous support and empathy.
“We will stay in touch, as we have been, offer kind words, motivate the security agents, and offer every assistance until such issues are resolved in favour of national security. Where lives have been lost, we offer our sincerest condolences and pray to God to repose the souls of the departed ones.
“We will remain unbowed, and everyone involved in any dastardly acts of abduction or any other violent crimes against innocent people shall pay dearly for it, whatever it takes and however long that takes,” AbdulRazaq added.
He, however, commended the security agencies for their good job and called on everyone to unite behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, to keep the country safe and conducive for socio-economic growth.
