Police Nab Three Men With Two Human Hearts In Ogun
The primary suspect alleged that he had paid N50,000 to a second suspect
Ikeja, Lagos State– Operatives from the Zone 2 Police Command, covering Lagos and Ogun states, have arrested three suspects found with two human hearts.
This is contained in a statement by the Zonal Public Relations Officer, SP Tunni Ayuba, during a press briefing held in Lagos on Thursday.
He said the arrest followed a thorough search of a residence in the Oke-Ola area of Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, where the human hearts were uncovered.
During the interrogation, the primary suspect alleged that he had paid N50,000 to a second suspect to assist in acquiring the two human hearts, the second suspect, in turn, identified a third person as the original source of the macabre body parts.
Mr Ayuba stated that the investigative process is currently going on, to unravel the motives and connections behind the incident.
Meanwhile, the confiscated human hearts have been dispatched to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital for a comprehensive examination.
