Governor Hope Uzodinma Secures Re-election In Imo
The re-election of Governor Uzodinma comes after a keenly contested race that saw several political heavyweights
Owerri, Imo State– Governor Hope Uzodinma has secured a second term as the Governor of Imo state, following the announcement by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declaring him the winner of the November 11th gubernatorial election.
The INEC declared Uzodinma as the winner after a thorough and rigorous electoral process, citing his significant support and mandate from the people of Imo state.
The election results, disclosed by Professor Abayomi Fasina, the Returning Officer today, November 12, revealed that Uzodinma of the APC accumulated 540,308 votes.
The PDP’s Emeka Anyanwu, his closest competitor, garnered 71,503 votes, while Athan Achonu from the Labour Party secured a total of 64,081 votes.
