Two Nigerian Women Arrested In India With Drugs Worth N63 Million

New Delhi, India– Indian authorities in Rajasthan have arrested two Nigerian women, identified as Adaeze Jaye, 43, and Success Chamika, 23, for alleged involvement in drug trafficking worth over N63m.

The women were arrested by the diligent officers of the Pushkar police, who confiscated a total of 65 grams of Mephedrone (MD) from the suspects.

A substantial sum of Rs 65,000 in cash was also discovered in their possession and a digital weighing machine was seized.

The value of the seized drugs has been estimated to be approximately Rs 6 lakh, the police said.

Police station in-charge, Rakesh Yadav said police have registered a case against both under the NDPS Act and started an investigation.

The higher officials and the control room have been informed, Yadav added.
