The court clarified that the failure had no impact on the results

Abuja, Nigeria– The Supreme Court of Nigeria has affirmed that the failure to transmit election results through the Independent National Electoral Commission’s Result Reviewing Portal (IReV) cannot serve as a legitimate basis for nullifying an election.

The court clarified that the failure had no impact on the results of the presidential election in question.

The Supreme Court concluded that while there may have been a failure to use the IReV portal as prescribed, the failure did not have a material effect on the final results of the presidential election.
