18-Year-Old Arrested For Alleged Murder Of 38-Year-Old Sex Worker In Benin Hotel

Benin, Edo State– Operatives of the Edo State Police Command have arrested an 18-year-old suspect, Kingdom Paul, over the murder of a 38-year-old Sex Worker, Victory Oro, in Benin.

It was gathered that the incident occurred on Thursday at a local lodge where Paul and Oro reportedly met for a paid sexual encounter.

According to police reports, after the two completed their arrangement, a disagreement ensued, leading to a violent altercation.

Paul allegedly stabbed Oro during the dispute, resulting in her death. Authorities responded swiftly to the scene, and Paul was apprehended shortly after the incident.

Confirming the arrest, the Edo State Police spokesperson, Chidi Nwabuzor, stated that investigations are ongoing to determine the full details of the case.

“On 05/09/2024 at about 12:00 noon, operatives of Evbuotubu Division acting on information, arrested one Kingdom Paul ‘m’ 18yrs who stabbed one lady named Victory Oro ‘f 38yrs in a lodge where they went to have fun.

“The victim was immediately rushed to Supreme Hospital, Upper Ekenwan where she gave up the ghost. Her corpse has been deposited at the hospital mortuary for autopsy. Investigation is ongoing.”

Speaking with reporters, Paul confessed to the crime, admitting that he had suddenly attacked Oro without any clear reason, even though they had previously agreed on a payment of N2,000 for the encounter.
